Do I have an Ash Tree?
Here are three simple ways to identify if you have Ash Trees
Opposing Branches
Opposite branches protruding from the tree limb have the exact copy limb protruding from the opposite side of the tree.
Compound Leaves
Compound leaves are composed of 5-11 leaflets per leaf. The leaflet margin may be smooth or toothed.
Diamond Bark Pattern
This method is for more mature Ash trees. Ash trees tend to have a very distinct diamond bark pattern like the picture above.
Should I be worried about EAB?
Absolutely. If you have Ash Trees then the Emerald Ash Borer is a threat to the well being of your Ash trees. We recommend that you contact a preferred licensed arborist to help you combat the future of your Ash trees.
